The Premium 6×4 Tongue and Groove Shed from Forest Garden is pressure-treated for long-lasting quality and has a supreme build for strong, durable and attractive outdoor storage.

This 6×4 shed is part of Forest Garden’s Premium Tongue and Groove Range. It features 12mm boards which tightly interlock using a tongue and groove construction. This is renowned for its strength, weatherproof nature and resistance to warping. The construction is further supported by strong 45x28mm framing.

A highlight of this shed is the inclusion of a pressure-treated, timber floor with bearers, providing extra support for the garden building and an effective barrier against ground moisture. Stronger than OSB, the wooden floor resists sagging to allow for storage of heavier tools.

The tongue and groove roof, again stronger than OSB, includes felt covering. The eaves of this shed are approximately 4inches higher than wooden sheds from many other brands.

The single door has been braced with double “Z” framing which reduces the chance of dropping and adds solidity for improved strength and security. Further security is provided by the key-operated lock. The door can be hung as left or right opening and positioned at either gable end of the shed.

An opening window provides ventilation and is fitted with a multi-position latch. It is glazed with 3mm acrylic, safer than glass.

All of the timber of this shed has been pressure treated to provide a superb 15 year guarantee against rot and fungal decay. Unlike dip-treated sheds, this mean there is no need for annual treatment – saving time and money.

Shed Base Option

Plastic Shed Base Kit

Quick and simple to install, the 6×4 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.

To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 40mm. This pack contains 12 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

Please be advised that we do not assemble plastic shed bases as part of our installation service. You must prepare the base yourself in advance of the installers’ visit.
