The Shire Dutch Barn wooden shed is a barn-style shed with a high-roof, easy access wide double doors and an opening window – offering attractive, practical storage.

Constructed using quality timber, the walls and floor are formed from weather-resistant, strong 12mm tongue and groove boarding supoprted by a 34 x 34mm framework. The attractive barn-style roof is 11mm solid sheet OSB finished in felt.

The morticed & tenoned ‘criss-cross’ window can be positioned in a choice of 5 locations on the shed. It opens to provide ventilation and, along with the high roof, makes the shed suitable as a small workshop. The high and wide double doors are fitted with a padbolt (padlock not supplied).

This shed is supplied dip treated with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, when supported with annual retreatment. An upgrade to a top coat is available for this shed. This top coat is a wood stain that provides a waterproof coating to resist algal and fungal attack. It nourishes the wood to provide year-round colour and protection. Two coats are applied, by the manufacturer, to both the interior and exterior of the shed. As a dip-treated shed, it is usually recommended that the customer apply a treatment upon assembly; this top coat eliminates the need to do so. The colour of this stain is called “gold” which is an orangey-yellow.
