The Shire Durham 8×6 Shed is a robust, handsome tongue and groove shed offering hard-wearing storage in the most popular shed size for British gardens.

The wooden shed is constructed with 12mm Shiplap Tongue and Groove cladding, well-known for its weather resistance, durability and strength, supported by 34 x 34mm framing. The floor is 11mm OSB so will provide reliable support for garden equipment and provide durable weather resistance. Made from OSB, the roof includes felt covering and is finished by barge boards and a finial.

The single door is fitted with a padbolt ready to be secured with a padlock (not supplied). The single opening window can be situated either side of the door to suit the garden or customer preference.

This shed is supplied dip treated with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, when supported with annual retreatment. An upgrade to a top coat is available for this shed. This top coat is a wood stain that provides a waterproof coating to resist algal and fungal attack. It nourishes the wood to provide year-round colour and protection. Two coats are applied, by the manufacturer, to both the interior and exterior of the shed. As a dip-treated shed, it is usually recommended that the customer apply a treatment upon assembly; this top coat eliminates the need to do so. The colour of this stain is called “gold” which is an orangey-yellow.
